YEAH! First time to post a picture.

This is how I keep my nightstand. Every night it's the same. The cell phone has 911 already keyed-in, so I or my wife just need to hit enter to call. The .45 is loaded, but with children in the house, there in no round in the chamber. By having everything in the same location, every night, I don't need to see to know where it is. When morning comes, Xd goes back into the safe.

CMG IU 'G' on a small piece of paracord hanging on the hooked edge of the shelf hanger next to my bed. I can find it easily just reaching below the shelf, and I don't knock it off the shelf anymore. It's pretty loud when a metal bodied light falls on it's side on the shelf in total silence of the night. Eek! Not anymore. :)

ROP sits between the night stand and bed.

CombatGrip hotwire light sits at palm-length from where I sleep. Ra Twisty sits one hand past it; the low red is great for not waking others. A Lummi Raw with a blue tritium sits at the head of the twisty to act as a marker and a backup.

It's not always the same light, but the positions are always consistent. "What was that" light next to my glasses, "bathroom-run" light four and a half inches past that. "Oh hell, zombies" light on the floor nearby.

With eyes that are a bit on the old and tired side, most GITD materials are not quite bright enough for me, and in some situations a flashlight might be the second thing I would choose to reach for. For this reason, I keep one of IKNITSTEEL's beautiful tritium keychain creations sitting between my two preferred alternatives.

SF-A2, I just lie it down sideways on the nightstand so it doesn't topple over. The A2 in red is my fave nightstand light.

Sometimes I just clip it (or an E2L) onto the waistband of my sweats, just inboard of my hip bone. I don't roll around onto my stomach when I sleep so its comfy. EDC in-bed FTW !!

For a while I would wear an ITP-A3 around my neck with a SF neck lanyard. I'd drop it inside my T-shirt. Sometimes I wear my H501 loosely around my neck, comfy as can be. I wear it like this camping too. Wearing a Zebralight around my neck prevents me from blinding people when they look at me to talk.

I keep things in more or less the same place every night... I also have a bunch of GITD o-rings on some of my lights.

My "What was that?" light (also my current EDC) sits on its side (with anti-roll bezel) and is the light closest to me. I have other small lights scattered on the night-table a bit further away for if I have to get up during the night or anything. My headlamps are on the bedpost nearest to my head and table for reading at night and assorted tasks.

...and on the floor, between my bed and table, are my "Zombie attack!" lights, 2C and up Mag mods. :D

It's largely silly, but it's fun having all these lights around!

Have the slotted piston for my EX10 and put a trit in it. I find it pretty easy to get it this way without fumbling it.

I tailstand my Jetbeam Jet-III ST/BVC every night on minimum, it makes a perfect nightlight.

TK20 on a wrist lanyard hooked over the drawer pull on the nightstand. I also have an a6 tail standing on the nightstand. My wife also has a led lenser. SHe doesn't know any better. But I have a few other good lights I gave her.

I have a Novatac 120P fitted with an SF F04 diffuser face down on the bedside cabinet in exactly the same place every night so my subconscious knows where it is. My watch has trits in the face so I do up the strap to form a loose loop and set the 120P in the middle, with the watch facing me so that even when I've just woken up in the pitch dark, I can see the trits and know where the torch is without actually seeing it. The watch also helps stop the torch tipping over. For heavier firepower I have a Legion II in the cabinet drawer propped up by whatever other junk is in there so that it's the first thing my fingers will touch even if I haven't turned on the 120P.

Surefire Z3 w/M2 bezel and about a 6-inch lanyard, sitting on nightstand on its side, pointing toward the door. Reach over with left-hand, find light, establish grip, good to go.

It's a pain for me because I wear contact lenses, which I take out at night leaving me with having to grab my glasses first, which I usually drop, then trying to get the light. :)

Same here, I usually keep my E1B in the waistband of sweats, even gym shorts.

Have been doing it for a while now with no problems.
