Being a Flashaholic paid off again...

I was working out at the gym a few days ago. Around 8pm the places closes.

Well at 7:55pm the staff decides they want to leave, so they shut down all the lights like that

I was working out with some friends and we were like "whoa". It was almost completely dark except for some very dim ambient lighting.

I had my 1AA Coast LED Lenser on me so I fired it up right away, and allowed us to double check our area that we got everything and then used my LED light to walk out the door. :candle:

On the way home I had a tire blow out. I immediately pulled over and used my LED Lenser to check the tires in the dark on the side of the road. My tires were shredded. So I took out the spare and changed the tire. My LED Lenser again worked fantastically for this purpose.

And last night I was out shopping after going to the gym around 8pm. I accidentally dropped my LED Lenser and it wouldn't turn on again.

Fortunately this time I had my Fenix L2D Q5 in my gym bag. I took it out and used the L2D Q5 to light up the trunk and load the groceries, etc.

After I got home I took out the battery of the LED Lenser and put in a new battery, and it fired back up again. Then I put in the original battery and it fired back up too. Not sure why it didn't fire up when I was out shopping. Anyway the moral of the story is it's great to be prepared, and it's even better to carry 2 lights instead of 1, just in case one of your lights goes

LOL that is a possibility I seriously considered!

I can't wait til I get the E01, then I'll carry 3 lights on me!

No offense to you personally, but what kind of crappy gym do you go to where they

1. Close at 8pm
2. Turn the lights out and leave EARLY without checking to make sure everyone is gone?

That's crazy! Good job on having 2 lights on you, though. I had to use my H30 last night for a quick roadside repair, so I feel you on that one.

Snow - I agree with you about the gym. It's just the way it is at the gym and none of really can do anything about it other than talk to management.

Glad your H30 helped you out as well. It feels a lot better having a light and seeing what you're doing.

Carry more lights! :naughty:

I EDC a L2D and a cheap keychain light. I have a G2L and Inova X5 in my car, and if I'm going to or leaving from work I have a TK10 and WF-500 in my bag.

When I'm at work/on duty I carry a G2Z/R2 Cree, a G3/HO-9, a Quiglight, plus the lights in my bag.

Good story. Makes the point of backup. Recently I've gone back from a 4-light EDC to 2 (LOD Q4 and E0). I'm thinking this may be too little backup, so I'm looking for a new AA based light that will really make a difference, to make it 3. Can't decide, as there are a lot of multi level lights in that category which are very comparable. Maybe wait for an AA P7 :green: ?
