Best 123 powered LED light for recycling 123\'s

I'd like to get maximum use out of the 123 lithium batteries from my SF M2 and Brinkmann Legend LX. What would you recommend for a 123 powered LED light and why?

Thanks.

I would recommend we find out if it is even a worthwhile endeavor to try to use those "used up" lithiums. Per the observations I've seen posted (and I'll ask every one who has tried it to either back this up or refute it) the lithiums give up almost all of their stored electricity to the incandescent bulb to the point where there is little or no potential left to actually run the LED light. I havn't had the chance to try it, so I'll let others comment on the accuracy of these observations.

Anyone?

Well I used the two used-up lithiums from my Scorpion (the bulb would light for about 45 seconds and then quickly dim) to light my LS1 and it looked like it stayed at full brightness for about 1/2 hour.

One of the 123's alone did not work real well but the pair worked just fine.

DO NOT USE TWO NEW LITHIUMS IN AN ARC-LS! YOU'LL DESTROY IT!

Since I don't wait for my 123's to "die" in my SF, they have plenty of juice to run my LED for several hours. I do it this way out of personal preference, and yes, I do carry spare 123's for the SF!

So Jackblades, what LED light do you use to fully use up your lithium 123's?

Thanks.

I run my E1e+KL1 from my stash of used SF123As.
I got about 30 minutes of regulated output from a battery from the M6.

Build something that uses an Opalec module. When that 100% regulated module is done with the battery, there's just fumes left.

My Arc sLS uses the old batteries out of my E2e quite nicely. I don't run the E2e down very far before changing--after all, that's my EDC "distance" light. For closer work, I use the sLS.

In my experience, other than a glow not much brighter than an Arc AAA LE, the Inova X5 is NOT good for this. Yes it makes some light, but you've just spent $50 for an allegedly bright flashlight and find its falloff to be remarkable.

I use the Arc LS to run down the 123 batteries. I think that due to the regulator circuitry it can drain more of the battery with useful light. Even though the LS gets dimmer, it's a good white light. The incandescents give a pale yellow light when they weaken.

I think the KL1 will be good too, if and when available.
