Who makes the best ones and are Energizers reliable? I had a bad Energizer batteries before.

Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. I guess it's time to hit Costco. I have Enoloop and Energizer and just want to make sure Enoloop is very good before I go out and buy more. As mentioned before, I had a bad batch of Energizer that leaked. I thought Energizer supposes to be the best since it is the largest and advertise all the time. I don't see Sanyo any where except for Costco.

IMHO, Eneloops are the benchmark for all LSD NiMh batteries.

Advertising has nothing to do with quality.
There are many products out there in the consumer world that are advertised heavily and are absolute crap.

I still see that as being one of the bigger issues with Eneloops - lack of visibility as well as advertising.

Eneloops are premium cells and the average consumer wants cheap first, quality second

I returned the Energizer and picked up another set of Eneloop. They need to sell batteries separatedly since I don't need that many charger. The new package doesn't have the carrying case, which would make them more user friendly.

Eneloops are sold separately...

Amazon has 4 packs for $12. No charger included.

I am looking for some new Re-chargeable AA's for my Fenix TK40.

I see that we can get eneloop's and uniross Hybrio's in SA both seem to say the same things aboutlasting longer and both about the same price. Any one had any experience with Hybrio's or both and can compare?

Thanks

Hi,

The best information I have found on the Net with regards to LSD battery is at the dpreview forum. This posting does not provide direct information about which LSD's has better runtime, however, it does provide great information about retained capacity over time.

From personal experience, I have both the Sanyo Eneloops and the MAHA Imedion AA's and from a completely subjective (non-scientific testing) perspective, I use AA LSD's for my camera flash and the Imedions seem to last longer.

So, I would recommend the Imedion. I purchased the Imedions from Thomas-Distributing.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I'm a new user. I was looking for flashlight advice and then got interested in looking at reviews of rechargable CR 123s. Then I stumbled across this thread.

I DO have an opinion about AA and AAA batteries from experience in high load use (Nikon flashes in particular) and in general use as well as disuse. I haven't used the eneloops but I have been very happy with Powerex 2700 mAh AAs and their 1000 mAh AAAs. They have a low discharge rate, fast recycle time in my flashes and have been highly rated by online sites.

I strongly recommend Maha/Powerex chargers too.
