What is the best spotlight available that works on up to 8 c or d batteries? Anyone have an UK Sunlight c8, Light Cannon 8c HID, or Pelican Nemo 8c? I want something that is not laser spot but with plenty of reach. Thanks,

I have the lightcannon 100 and it is not a spotlight at all. Many here call it an area light but I wouldnt go that far as it doesn't have that much power. It's rated at 450 lumens but compared to my 500 lumen m6 I would give it maybe 375. It does a good job as a somewhat large and heavy camping light that runs for a long time on a set of batteries. However it is less than reliable. It seems to come on when it feels like it and others have noted the same. You might want to check out the tigerlight and the Vector spotlights, esp the vector if you want a spotlight, but remember you get what you pay for most of the time. except of course when buying a chevy dodge or ford /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the info. I am trying to decide if I'm willing to trade off the low runtime of the vector rechargeable(i think about 40 min) or if I prefer longer runtimes with much less light with 8c/d batteries.
