Best thrower available

Looking for recommendations for the best thrower out there. I have a TK75 that throws a real good distance. Looking for something even better. thanks for all replies and comments. Rob

Acebeam w30. Lightweight, relatively small, throws a pencil beam as far as the eye can see

You're not gonna get a better thrower unless you go HID, or get a larger LEP. Microfire S90 throws 20mcd.

After doing alotta research I finally decided on the acebeam K75. This is one badaxx light!. It didnt work very well with the keeppower 18650 3600mAH batterys. I guess because they are only 8A draw. Worked better with the Sanyo 18650GA 10A. Instructions say to use at least a 10A hi-drain battery. Acebeam recommended their 18650H-310 at 20A, 3100 mAH battery. So I ordered a few of them. Light IS a monster! My driveway is almost 1/2 mile long. It lights up the front of my silverado well enough that I can read the plate number using leupold 10x42 binoculars! I ranged the distance with a leupold 1200 rangefinder at 780 yards (app 714m). I know it can do better than that, I does get hot. It steps down to 3000 lumens (app 2 mins) which still throws a heck of a beam. Gonna be great for checking out the deer in the back 40. Be interesting to see if the acebeam 20A batteries do even better. Takes alot to impress this old man at this point in life but I'm impressed! Just my 2 cents.

Thats what I thought to Lou, untill I bought it. I use it to see who is driving up driveway at zero dark thirty. Also to check out the 12 pt buck in the back 40. Not only see eyes but the whole deer. It will light up a coyote at 800M for a $65 pelt with 22-250. Oldest son is a deputy sheriff. He was impress and bought one for SAR. I love it. Like Rasher said. My favorite in my arsenal. Update on new Acebeam 20A high drain batteries. Didnt seem to do any better than the Sanyo 18650GA's. Thought they would do better because they are 20A high drain. In fact the KP 3600mAh batteries do just as well as the Sanyo's. They are rated at 8A. The light itself must only pull 10A on turbo so the 20A at 3100 mAH is a waste of capacity? The 4 batteries are lined up in series so the light operates on 16.8V's to start, with 12400 mAH available. Vs. 14000 mAH for the sanyo vs. 14400 for KP. Lost 2000 mAH? Someone please enlighten me if my math is wrong. Loving this light tho. Just my 2 cents Rob

If there's only 4 batteries and they are configured In-Series, then you get to add the Voltages as you did but you don't get to add the mAh so it's 16.8V/3100 mAh. If they were configured in Parallel, then you'd have 4.2V/12400 mAh (peak Voltage, not Nominal which is 3.7V). You don't get to add both, that's the law!
