Best way to build PR base?

I am interested in building a new lamp assembly to fit in a Maglight xD. I was wondering how to best interface with the PR bulb mount that is in the Maglite?

I think the interfacing depends on what you are going to use for a lamp assembly. But one simple way of making connection with the PR socket is described here at the Elektrolumens site.
