Best ways of carrying SureFire E1e

I'm open to suggestions.

I've tried belt carry, but the short tight clip is wearing gouges into my leather belt. Belt loop carry seems best right now.

If you carry an E1e every day, how do you do it?

Hi Craig,

I'm getting mine around Christmas and I think the best way, after having carried all sorts of flashlights with me, is to carry it clipped in your pocket. Yes, it *will* eventually wear out your pocket, but I do it with my E2e-HA from a while and my jeans pockets still don't look that ruined.
You could also get a lanyard for it and simply carry the E1e in your pocket with your lanyard on your belt.

I have one in a small holster that rides on my belt.
I just can't remember where I got the holster though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I think I picket it up at Wal-Mart with their camping gear. If it's the one I'm thinking about, it was like $3. AND, it fits the E1e w/KL1 as well!

LPS Tactical carries 2 holsters for the 3P, the V32 & the V64. The 3P is a bit fatter than the E1e but the length should work.

How "professional" does the holster look? I work in an office. We do wear jeans, but a certain decorum is expected. If you remember where you got the holster, give me a shout.

I bought the lanyard! But I don't know how to attach it. The instructions say to use the "lanyard ring" which is "not included" in the lanyard package. God knows why not.

Looks like it fits around the flashlight, in the groove between the tailcap and the rest of the E1e.

craig - I have a tw4 and I had the same problem you have till I got a Ripoffs holster. It has a metal clip, comes off in a flash and is all black with no logo showing. I wear it at home with jeans and at the office with business suit. By the way the tw4 setup is freaking great - can't believe the light output - Hope this helps.

I prefer the easy way out. Just put the damn thing in my pocket and don't even bother about clipping it. I have my E1e inside my right pants pocket and I don't seem to be having problems at all. Even wearing a jeans is no issue. I don't understand what all this fuss is all about?

This is in reference to the lanyard attachment for the E1E & E2E Surefire lights...the lanyard attaches to the end of the clip with a slipring...a very small slipring. I almost destroyed the slipring getting it off. It is not very practical for attaching a lanyard. They do not at this time make a lanyard ring to go between the tailcap and flashlight body. Even if they did...it might not allow you to have a constant on with the twist action tailcap. This is the url for the Z50 lanyard kit. You are entirely correct. Thank you. SureFire includes a tiny-*** "manual" with the lanyard that is no help at all. It is a manual in name only. It's just a tiny cheat-sheet in the form of a diagram. And badly done, at that, since it advises me to look for a part that doesn't seem to exist. Go figure.

I have mine with a KL1 in my pocket all the time. Initially the HA was wearing out everything else in my pocket but the HA, but finally I had this done to my E1e body, and it's great to keep in the pocket now. Try it out if you have time! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I no longer carry the E1E. I now carry the Arc-LSH-P. (Man I love regulated lights, I think all lights should be regulated). When I did carry the E1E, I carried it in my left front pocket. In suits, chinos, and jeans. I noticed in my jeans (wore more often) that it started to fade where the E1E was in my pocket. My recommendation, get an Arc-LSH-P (it is Christmas) and carry it in your pocket. Then leave the E1E and E2E (assuming you have the MN02 in) at home. Good Luck.

I actually love the On/Scene Tactical Kydex holster/sheath for the E1e/E2e.

You'll find that one of our favorite retailers -- Tactical Warehouse -- carries this item at very competitive price.

Depending on how you rig the anchor bolt for the clip attachment, it can either be a pull-through type or a slip-over/clip-type mount on your belt.

Hi Craig,

If you want something a little more 'formal', I highly recommend a Concealco light carrier.

I use one for my E2e EDC, it is top-notch and unobtrusive. It is constructed along the same lines as a magazine pouch (the belt loop is closed by a secure snap and the tension on the draw of the flashlight is adjustable).

I think he only lists the light carrier on eBay, not on his web site.
