Does anyone know bezelring thread size for the MiniMagAA? Thanks!

Hello Freddy.

It's 15/16-28. Like most other Maglites, the threads are very sloppy on MagAAs so don't let it fool you if trying to measure directly on a MagAA.

I remember Will Q saying exactly the same thing. When he was modding those lights each thread was cut to fit the existing thread on the body. Not too hard when doing one at a time customs but a real challenge if trying to make a quantity of parts.

Thank you very much for the info my friends. It is very much appreciated! :buddies:

From my measurements i found the Mini-maglite bezel ring threads to be 28tpi rather than the 20tpi of the Surefire E-series bezel rings.

Shoot, you are right, it is 28 TPI. Guess it's been too long since I worked on lights & my memory is fuzzy. I guess I'll just continue to stay away from light related posts.

I'd really hate to try and cut the Mini-maglite head/body threads. I read some of the linked thread and agree that there are a number of advantages to multi-start threads, but the extra hassle in cutting, makes them rather an unpreferred option.

It's pictures like this that can really add to confusion:

Of course it's just chance that the threads screw together just enough to hold before jamming and that the Mini-maglite bezel ring is just the right length to look like it's fully screwed down onto the Surefire bezel.
