This happened tonight.
using a cutter triple and bflex into a home built light which has worked flawlessly for 2 weeks .
then I mounted it on my helmet and plugged in the power , the light flashed as normal then came on then as soon as I touched the switch to dim it it switched of . i tried this a few times but the same result no control and it would not switch back on unless I unplugged and re plugged the battery.

On checking what I had done different to other rides this is what I had done

because I had too much power cable I wrapped it round the light head similar to the photo.
as I was rushing to meet my mate for a ride I removed the offending light and used a spare .
when I returned I tried again with the bad light and the same result .

so I tried to go into the setup menu upon applying power no problems it allowed me in .
so I did a reset and everything works fine again.

so is it possible that coiling the power cable round the light head some how upset the Bflex even though it is an all aluminium casing.

there is no long wires for the momentory switch it is fitted to the light housing.

Hi Chris,

I have seen replies from george about interference caused by long leads to remote momentary switches, perhaps the small magnetic field caused by the coiled power lead did something.

At least a reset has got the driver back on track. Must have been worrying that it was stuffed
