Does anyone know if anyone sells the battery above. The battery above is made in China and is used for special tactical lights. While it has both a negative and positive pole, an internal type of tag is also on the negative end. This allows for the flashlight to have two probes attach to the lithium ion battery. The battery comes with the new Insight Technology H2X Arcturus tactical light.

Also there is a similar battery with just the opposite configuration, which comes with another manufacturer of tactical flashlights. Can't find this battery either except from the manufacturer who wants mucho dollars for what should be a 10-12 dollar battery at most.

Thanks,

John

Hi Kansasjks! Welcome to CPF!

I've never heard of the battery or the flashlight before.

Some links might be semi-useful, but I'm not sure we will be able to help on this front. Seems to me it might be worth trying a regular protected 18650 cell but I don't want to jump to any conclusions that may damage an expensive light.

Thanks for the welcome. I should have also mentioned the battery above is 3.7 lithium ion rechargeable. In each of the tactical lights I have a standard protected 18650 lion battery will work, but then you have only two modes of operation---momentary on or on; and of course off.

By the way, Insight Technology is likely owned by Streamlight. If you go to rsrgroup.com and click on flashlights and then click on insight technology. Then you will see a pull down menu. Pull down and click on Arcturus. This is one of the tac lights that takes the BIT18650F battery.
