Does anyone know what these battery packs have inside them? I was thinking 2X18650 similar to the "safe" Emoli cells, but the specs say 7V. I might have to make a sacrifice for CPF and tear some apart myself if no one knows.

Also, can you charge Emoli cells (magnese chemistry?) on the WF-139 charger from AW?

Inside those packs are 2x 18650 3.3v nominal LiFePo4 cells, manufactured by A123.

They can not be charged on a traditional Li-Ion charger, but the 3.7v Emoli cells can.

I might be wrong but I believe the A123 systems batteries are "safe" LiFePO4 based batteries using their Nanophosphate™ technology.

Nominal voltage and power density, as well as the "C" rating. 18650 Emoli cells are 3.3v and either 1600 or 2200(?) mAh, while 18650 A123 cells are around 1100mAh, but they are able to give well over 20 time their capacity in current.

Emoli and Li-Mn are the same, while A123's are LiFePo4

No problem! Thats exactly what I wanted to know! Basically they are not a direct replacement for AW's 18650s. I like the idea of buying stuff locally, but oh well, I have no problem giving AW my business!
