Does anyone know what LED the B&D 2XAA clip light uses?

I'm suprised there hasn't been much discussion on it. It has a pretty decent beam and a very pure white for a sub $10 light. It isn't driven too hard, but is plenty bright for it's intended purpose.

The only issue I can see with it is the switch doesn't always want to latch well. Also not sure how long the plastic threads will last, but it's probably a non-issue since it's a clicky.

can any body tell me about this light or where that thread about it is
thanks new guy here i love this site

It's an XP-C emitter. Current draw at the tailcap is a rather anemic 120mA on NiMH and 150mA on fresh alkalines. The curved bezel lip throws an annoying pattern onto the edge of the spill. The spring loaded clip also seems to be the wrong way around for any applications I've thought about using, but I doubt it could be spun around. It's long enough to interfere with the tail cap then.

It's an okay light, but between the budget led, weak driver, and mostly plastic body it's an underachiever even at the $10 price tag. I'll give it credit for being the first XP based product I've seen B&M though.

Mine is decent for the price. The spill does have a weird pattern, but is still quite useful. I like that it has the broader hotspot.

Note that if you unscrew the head, it had a nice flood pattern.

Mine is pretty good for tasks like working on a car. It would be even more useful if the clip could be rotated. It's also cheap enough that you aren't worried about using it with greasy hands. I used it and my Energizer tactical when replacing my clutch a couple of weeks ago.

The only issue I see with it for the price is the forward clicky is a little flaky. The momentary works fine, but sometimes it takes a try or two to get it to latch on.
