Never saw one in black, even before 2007.

I got one! I had to lego it together though. I bought a black KX2 from LApolicegear.com, black E2e tube from the Marketplace, and a Z68 from SF. It rides in a black 5" sheath from Maxpedition. It is my favorite camp light. 6 hours of 50+ lumens is plenty of punch for the dark woods.

the "defender" bodies are HA black, E2D and E2D LED.

Uh... when I read the name, my brain processed E2O-AA in BLACK HA... now that would be a beauty...
As for E2O "fake" black, I had one like kelmo is mentioning, but put together from E2E black body and tail combined with KX2C black head... and I was naive enough to sell it on CPFMP about a year and a half ago...

I don't think they come from SF that way. I also have a black L4 and E1L. All lego'd.
