Having always been attracted to gadgets (knives, watches, cameras, and flashlights), I was quite pleased to come across CPF last October. It's nice to see that I'm not alone, though still a rank amateur. Over the years I had accumulated a Mini-Mag, a couple of Solitaires, assorted other penlights, and a couple of those yellow Eveready AA lights that open up into area lamps. Then about two years ago I found a Dorcy Cool Blue and was bitten by the LED bug. An Eveready folding Lantern came a few months later, followed by an ASP Mirage. The fever passed for almost a year, until last fall. I can't recall how I came upon CPF, but the bug is back. Thanks to all you pros out there for your advice and observations. Special thanks go to Craig, Brock, and Quickbeam for great reviews and comparisons. Since finding CPF I added first a Photon 3, then a Light Saucer. For Christmas, my son got an Inova Microlight and a Light Wand, while I added my own Light Wand and a Shorelite VX1. Since then I couldn't resist a PT Attitude a few weeks ago. But what really prompted me to finally post after months of lurking was the little package in the mailbox last Saturday. Promptly shipped out from Texas Tactical was the Arc AAA I knew I would have to get eventually. I believe the fever is lifting a bit.
