They sell these at Sams club and I saw An orange Black and Decker model someplace as well. Surely it speaks Chinese . I got it for rummaging under dashboards and I must say its impressive for lots of things. 2 power, either 20 or 40 LED's 8 or 4 hours run time. It has a 180 degree arc of light a swivel hook that folds in the top and magnetic base. Plug is 110 or 12V and fairly well built for the $20 aprox I paid for it at Sams. On cars it fairly eliminates being upside down with a mag light in my teeth wishing I had a couple more arms with half of the area in the dark.
This thing will light up an entire room dimly or pretty well a small area like a car interior or under a hood. For a cheap light this thing is quite impressive for a work light. The switch feels sort of typical flimsy but with the run time I just leave it on the whole time I am doing a project and charge it later on every few days. For the $$ it is hard to beat this for a mechanic or especially a work light for use in the boonies. Walking around it lights up the trees 30-50 feet away to some extent.

Thanks, looks like a candidate for a possible Christmas gift next year. Never can think ahead too early.

LED work lights rock, but I have to say that that was one of the worst ones I've used. Keep in mind that having that one is better than not having one, and I don't think it was a bad deal, it's just that I tend to be VERY hard on lights.

That one broke in half around the clear tube, and glue never really kept it together after that, the hook also broke of pretty quickly. it finally died when I ran it over with an f250.

This was the first cordless work light I've used, and probably the best.

It was slim so easy to cram into tight spots, it had a rubber coat, so it didn't mind being dropped, at one point it even went for a nice ride under a car, and was returned later still working when the person realized that there car didn't have streetglow. It was replaced by the bright bar when it went missing.

This one I picked up because of it's price, it's handy with the magnet + hook + small size, but not really bright enough for heavy use.

This is the current light I'm using,

minus the charging stand, I'm not sure who makes it, but they've done a good job. The battery doesn't last as long as the freedom light, but it's regulated which is nice. The hook broke, but was replaced with a welded metal hook and retainer that I don't think will ever break again. It's a lot more durable than the bright bar, it's not round so it doesn't roll like the freedom light.
