I just got back from a several day backpacking trip. I used my Eagletac TC02 MKII and Fenix LDO1 for the dark but realized I couldn't use the "ceiling bounce" of my flashlights in the woods 
I've been really impressed with the efficiency of the XPG R-5's in the Eagletac and was wondering if there was something like that in a latern package.
I'm hoping to get something smaller/lighter than a 2 D cell mag but as bright if not brighter than my Eagletac (maybe multiple XP-G's). Batteries it would be cool if it ran on CR123's or 18650 or AA's (I carry those in my GPS).
Anythink like that out there?
