Haas anyone came across this torch before? The few torches we can buy in the UK are very expensive, but this one is only £117 and is 1750 lumens and is a 24 watt HID torch. I was going to consider one of them generic HID torches made by Oracle and Spymodex etc but the cheapest I could get one of them for imported is £200 and I have heard they aren't very reliable at times. At least the company selling this torch is based in the UK so any problems I get will more than likely be sorted. Here is the link for anyone who wants to know what it is http://www.pcbuyit.co.uk/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=379

While I can't comment on how they perform (I never owned one), I have to admit they look pretty cool. In fact I like the Dipper II Junior a lot, cool little HID.

First post here on CPF.

I just got my dipper II today from the UK dealer.
The head of the battery was unglued from the main
body of the battery and the lenses were missing.
I glued it back on and have emailed the dealer re the
missing lenses. I trust they will be posted to me.

Otherwise is seems to be a solid and well built
piece of kit. I will post some more info and pics
as and when I get a chance to play with it.

Best Regards!

Ok thanks, your information will help me decide if that's what I want to buy. Is it bright? Did you get it from that link I posted?

That sounds BAD :caution:

I'd send that straight back where it came from, no messing :shakehead

Who did you get it from ? Was it the link in the #1 post of this thread ?

Sorry not to reply sooner but I got stranded in the USA!

Got home hoping the filters would have arrived but not. I have called them about it.

Yes I got it from the link in the first post. Other than the minor problems I really like the torch so not inclined to return it unless the retailer starts giving me a hard time in supplying the filters.

Now I am back I will take some photos and post them in the next few days.

Incidently I found a really nice little AAA LED stainless steel torch in the USA but was unable to buy one as they do not ship overseas and will only accept a USA form of payment. Pity! It looks nice.
