Brinkmann Maxfire spotted at Walmart

I just picked up the rechargeable Maxfire at a flea market today for $9, but without packaging or instructions or any other material for care and maintenance. I'd appreciate any information available regarding run time, battery charging and management etc. Has anyone tried NiMh batteries with this charger yet? Thanks in advance for any hints, tips etc..
