Now that I have a Surefire E1B on it's way to me, I need to get some decent CR123 batteries to feed it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good brand and supplier for these in the UK? I found someone selling the SF branded ones, but they were about twice the price of some Tenergy ones :(.

Thanks,

Dave.

I have the exact same problem as you. Someone here told me that I might have been lucky enough to be near a sporting store carrying them, I checked a couple to no avail. Right now I order the Panasonic ones from 4sevens.com - http://www.4sevens.com/product_info.php?cPath=53&products_id=200

I think it's quite a good deal considering you are getting a reputable brand name, plus 4sevens ships them in keep-2-go tubes that are useful for all manner of things once you use up the cells!

I'm sure someone else can suggest something a little closer to home though!

Edit: Please please please don't buy "50 for £20" 123A's from ebay. They are not very safe, although many get away with using them just fine.

Hi Dave,

I have always bought Panasonic or Fuji cells from www.7dayshop.com, they are based in Guernsey so they send low value items through VAT exempt ( box of 10 Panasonics is £11). I haven't ever had any problems with their cells but I only use them in single-celled lights. One slight concern about ordering from some American suppliers is that they are making more accurate customs declarations than previously and you are likely to get stung for duty (and £8 handling charge) on receipt.

Take advantage of the £/$/Euro exchange rate and get them here...

http://www.batterystation.com/cr123a.htm

Only a small amount like 20 will be a good price, buy more per parcel and price lowers.

Email Kevin at their contact email and he can send them in an international flat rate envelope for $15.

:)

Thanks for the replies everyone :). I hadn't thought about 7dayshop, they might be worth a try.

Dave.
