Is is possible to "lock on" a CR123a Peak light (e.g., a Caribbean) equipped with Peak momentary switch?

I see how you can prevent such a light from accidental activation -- unscrew the head far enough.

How can you force the light to remain lit without having to keep pressure on the switch? I tried tightening the head, but it did not travel far enough to lock the light on.

Thanks.

My Peak McKinley has a momentary switch but it stays on when the head is turned. I don't know why yours isn't working. Maybe you could call Peak and ask them.

SO the light is supposed to stay on when you screw it down with the momentary??!! I screw mine down all the way with the momentary and it didnt lit on, i thought the switch was supposed to work this way..maibe a Peak guru can chime in on this.

I'm no Peak guru, but my McKinley w momentary switch installed stays on when I tighten the head down. Works the same with my Rainier. I think this is how they are supposed to work.

Yes, you screw the head in all the way and it will stay on constant when using the momentary switch.
If not, then check to make sure your battery is normal length. I had a problem with some very short batteries before. My head bottomed out - it lit, but traveled too far for my liking. I put a 0.03mm washer (shim disk) under the battery to solve the problem with that particular battery.

I found what the problem was with my switch. Apparently the contact was a bit rough and the spring got stuck inside the assembly , a little "love" un-stuck the little thing and now its working fine...
