Hi folks
May I start by asking for you to forgive my ignorance.
I have a Surefire C2 with a Malkoff M60 drop in. I run this off 2 re-chargeable AW cr123's. I love this light but find it to bright for all uses. I recently discovered that a conversion could be fitted to give a low and high beam. My problem comes when I see the different ohm values when I try to purchase one from sandwich shop as I dont know what difference they will make and which one would be best for me. What sort of output on low. Grateful for any advice.
Cheers Andy

Well they are out of stock and
The Classic 2-stage switch and E-series 2-stage switch will be discontinued. We are not allowed to make and sell the the McE2S and McC2S once we run out per a large flashlight company's request and patent. They were nice enough to let us deplete stock.

:(

If you can track one down...

To determine the low output, divide the voltage by the resistance to get the current. Then look up the luminous flux for that current in the LED specs.

For example, a 60 ohm resistor with your 2x RCR123A cells:

7.4v / 60 ohms = 123 mA. A Cree XR-E Q5 running at 123 mA will be around 50 lumens.
