From body to body (E/G/T/X) and voltage to voltage, the lamp assemblies share fit and function. In fact, I'm nearly certain that the lamp used in the tactical (1.25 inch) bezels is the same as the lamp used in the miniturbo (1.62 inch) bezel. You can easily unscrew it from the small reflector and place it in the large one, and vice versa. That's how I've hotflashed one or two of my 9V bulbs, but moving it to a reflector labeled 12V.
But there are two grades of lamp: xenon, and high-pressure xenon. Same reflector, different lamp. I think, too, that the bulb is a bit taller in the high-pressure xenon.
As far as output, I've read conflicting specs. As near as I can tell:
In 6V, regular xenon delivers 60 lumens; high-presssure xenon, 90.
In 9V, regular xenon delivers 105 (120?) lumens; high-pressure xenon, 175.
In 12V, regular xenon delivers 200 lumens; high-pressure xenon, 225.
Supposedly the high-pressure xenon lamps deliver these extra lumens will little or no penalty in runtime. I'm not sure about this. I've owned three of the 12V lamps but hot flashed two of them. Currently I'm getting about 30 minutes' runtime, but I can't recall if it's the $10 xenon I bought from Emilion or the $16 high-pressure xenon I bought from TradeDigit.
What makes this all confusing is that sometimes I'll see a 9V listed as "high pressure xenon" but only 120 lumens.
