Calling all XR-19C and S27 PD owners...

I'm calling out the lucky devils out there who own both of these gems. They've been out for a little while now, so you should have had plenty of play time with them. How do they compare to each other? If you could only have one, which one would you choose and why? Beam shots of the two would be great as well. I've been thinking a lot about the XR-19C lately, help me decide if I need to have this light or not...

I sold my XR, I miss it alot. I will pick another up one day, perhaps. If you are wondering whether or not you should buy one, I vote YES. I am not a big Cree fan, but the XR-19 I liked.

Well, I might favor the XR19C over the 27PD, but I don't have the latter. I do, however, have a 27Cx2, and I definitely prefer it over the XR19C. It's brighter, throws farther and has smooth beam transitions. The XR19C has a slight dark ring outside of the hotspot. I've gotten spoiled on McGizmo perfect beams, though I don't think the ring is really relevant during normal use.

I have always prefered my XR-19 over my S27-PD. I find its beam profile way more useful for my up close needs. It is probably my favorite light and if I could get it modded to a mizer, it would be, I believe, perfect.
I would however, not give up my S27, becuase it is a very useful light, but mostly outside.
