I ran into those things in Egypt, talk about a rude awakening! They were a little smaller than your hand at the largest and did not like being disturbed.

For entertainment, folks used to catch them and watch them fight scorpions and such. All in all, I would not have one as a pet.

"Smaller than your hand" is still way too big. I find these creatures revolting and scary, maybe because I'm a city boy but perhaps we're genetically programmed to fear certain creatures.

Whoa thats worse than Potato Bug I seen one here. Thank God Camel Spider don't live around here.

Don't ya ever dared to breeding one here....

Thanks for posting that Sasha. I really needed a name for these things that I occasionally find in my place. Mine are 1 - 2 inches, though.

Now, I can read all about them.

I killed one a couple of nights ago in my front room with MagCharger w/ WA 01160, from 8 -10 inches away. That lamp projects a bit of heat.
