Can someone (lathe monster, you out there?) help me out?

I would like have a 3x123 battery tube (or two) cut down and re-threaded so that is a 1x123. It's important not to damage the finish on the body as well.

I would also like to thread the piece that was cut off so that is has matching threads on either end.

Please e-mail or PM me if you feel confident to do this.

Thanks!

I'm thinking it may be about the right size for a Pila 150s...

Get what I'm getting at? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

wait, by "matching threads on either end" do you mean you want the threads on one end to be the *same* as the ones on the other end or do you mean you want them to be a matching set? i.e. in the first case a head that would screw onto one end would also screw onto the other whereas in the second case the two ends would fit into each other, effectively making it an extension tube.

The last time this was discussed, it was not just a simple tube sized for 3 CR123a batteries, but was a mclux with the integral tailswitch guard. I was told the guard (which looks bead blasted) was part of the tube and would not come off.

Good luck with this one, Baretta. Sorry that I could not help.
