I was given this light by a good friend who had this mounted on a rifle. It had a tape switch on the rear cap which went bad. I have emailed Malkoff and Surefire and neither claim to have made this light. It is very well made everything is threaded and "O ringed". It appears to be a 6 series light using 2 123 batteries. I would guess it is about 10 years old or older.
Can anyone tell who made this light

Well it is fully functional now, I ordered a cree light/reflector combo. Had to machine 2 clamps 32 mm to disassemble the head unit, unscrew the current reflector install the cree unit had to take .007 thou from the reflector and it went in. I also ordered a click switch tail cap but the thread was way to coarse so I took that apart for the switch and machined the original cap to accept the switch and screwed it together. What a bright light that turned out to be.
