Can I use the Juice 3.6v with an L1?

Hi,

I searched and read but couldn't find a definitive answer. Can I use the Juice 3.6V Lithium Ion Rechargeable cells with my L1? It's only around .6v higher...

I just got one from Frys and it's charging. I wanted to ask here before I throw it in my L1 tomorrow. (Instructions say to charge for 12 hours prior to first use...)

Have u read up on the care and handling of li-ions? If not, please do a search or go to JS Burly site.

To answer ur question, YES, u can use a li-ion @ 4.2v in a L1. But if it is not the protected kind sold by JS then u have to be careful not to get the batts below 2.5v as doing so WILL kill the batts in less than 10 charges. Get a KL4 and u can run the li-ion batts safely as the cut off voltage for the KL4 is just above that.

Also beware of overcharging and having the li-ions go kablooi!!!

Wow I use li ion with my Madmax+. Thinking to be very careful use for not operated until low voltage.

Thanks Kevin! I just did the KL4 + E1e body + Lithium Ion 3.6 and HOLLY SMOKES. Awsome combo...brighter than with a 3v Lithium.

So I can run the KL4 down til it dims without damage? What is the cutoff voltage on the KL4?
