Do _not_ randomly use various Li-Ion chargers with various Li-Ion cells just because the cells happen to fit in the charger!
The problem of having to match up Li-Ion chargers with the correct Li-Ion cells is a weakness of the Li-Ion system. You are essentially trapped into using the charger that was intended for use with those specific batteries. Timing a charge does nothing to help. Why? Most Li-Ion chargers employ a voltage and current limit charge control system. ie: If, upon insertion of a Li-Ion cell, the voltage sensor indicates a charge is needed, then the cell is charged via a current limited control until the proper voltage is reached whereupon the system switches to a voltage limit control. Various chargers use various current and voltage set levels. The chargers and cells really need to be matched!
