Can you still get M2 bezels in black?

I noticed on Sean's flashlight page that SF, at one time at least, made a BLACK M2 shock isolated bezel. Can these still be had anywhere? From SureFire direct? From suppliers? Or are they long gone and hard to find?

Failing that, I want to know if the shock isolated bezel for the 6P has a pyrex or lexan lens? (MeridianTactical sells the SI bezel for $20 or so, BTW, so I know these can still be had.)

Also, there wouldn't be any problem putting an M2 bezel on a 6P/D2 body, right? I mean, I have a C2 bezel on my D2 right now, and I see that Sean turned his C2 into an M2 by adding an M2 bezel and an extra o-ring.

Thanks for any help

jim: i'm not sure if surefire still has stock of the black M2 bezel (its in type II anodizing btw, not HAIII), but you can try calling them to check. the part number for the black M2 bezel is 13586-11 (M2 bezel in HA is 13586-1). according to other cpf members who have ordered the bezel from surefire, most of the sales representatives are not aware of the existence of this part, so you will have to tell them the part number.

the SI bezel that meridian tactical sells has a lexan lens, but the lens can be changed if the old one gets scratched up or bubbled. both the older SI bezel (the one sold by MT) and the M2 bezel will fit on all the 2 cell surefire lights, with the exception of the E-series lights (including the L4), and the A2. this includes the 6P, D2, C2, Z2, G2 and the G2Z.

btw, the two O-rings on the end of the M2 are actually different. one is the regular O-ring used on other lights such as the 6P, D2, Z2 and C2, but the outer O-ring filling the extra channel next to the threads is actually a G2 O-ring. just FYI if you want to have your D2 be as close to an M2 in function as possible /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

One of the other important reasons for being able to change the lens on the Z32 Shock Isolated bezel is that these bezels are often close to barrels of firearms and get covered in blast etc. That's why I doubt the Z32 will ever be Pyrex.

I have a black M2 bezel on a Z2...so they can be had! I got mine about 8 months ago......so I hope they still have them in stock.

Thanks everyone!

And especially for that Part number, chamenos. That's great. If you keep helping me out so much, I'm going to have to start paying you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I really hate to bring such an old thread back from the grave, but I'm trying to get an M2 bezel in HA. Not black, just HA like the one on the M2.

I would like to know what the part number or w/e is for the HA M2 bezel in OD is. is is 13586-1? is the one in black HA, not in the 6P type black, 13586-11?

Thanks much,
Flash

Calvin @ BrightFlashLights usually has spare M2 bezels available for sale. I have ordered both a HA and a Black M2 bezel from him in the recent past. He can be contacted at 352-732-2156

Ok! thanks NickDrak.
However, I think I'll order the black M2 bezel and possibly a couple lanyards from surefire tomorrow, if my local store doesn't have what I need.
Thanks much!

flash_bang,

I ended up getting my black M2 bezel from LPS tactical. It wasn't on the web site, but I called, gave them the part number (in the thread above, reply #2), and they had it in stock and sent it to me that day.
