Hi guys,
I'm new to this whole flashlight/torch thing, so if I say something wrong just tell me

Anyway, I'm looking for a good LED flashlight. It has to have strobe, and I'd prefer something with a good light output. Also, I don't want anything with multiple LEDs (I hate those torches with heaps of small LEDs)
The ability to focus the beam is preferred but not essential.
Price really isn't that much of an issue but I'd still prefer something <$150.

Thanks

Welcome to CPF, Thunderfudge :)

I'll move your thread to the LED Flashlights section for you.

You'll be amazed at the different choices there are, so the more specific you can be about what you want, the better. Size, flood (wide) or throw (narrow) beam, type of use, run-time required... I could go on. I'm sure other members will offer plenty of advice...

Welcome! It's easy to find something with strobe. It's harder to find something without strobe. :)

Everything has good output but you might want to define what that means to you.

You won't find many lights with heaps on small led's on here either.

There aren't that many lights that focus but Led Lenser is one that does.

Think about what batteries and runtime you are looking for as well as size.

:welcome:
i also think there are so many that meets your criteria.
but try Dereelight DBS.
i think it is one of the best flashlight for throw. *(beside DEFT)*
if you need good dropin try nailbender dropin.
i think he has the strobe mode also.

There are, literally, dozens and dozens of LED flashlights that meet the criteria you've given. In order to narrow the field a bit, please tell us:

1. What kind of batteries you prefer (AA, 123, etc.)
2. How big do you want your torch to be.

And :welcome:

Welcome to CPF, Thunderfudge. So many good ones in your price range. Spend a little time narrowing down your preferences, and you'll get some less confusing advice. It can get overwhelming.

I'm a newbie myself. I can assure you that you must answer numerous questions before you plunk down your money. I started of with an inexpensive (not cheap) light from which I could make MANY comparisons to help me decide (I'm getting close to a $200 purchase). There are many features to consider.

An obcsure decision is color temp depending on the location of primary use. Research this for yourself and you'll see what I mean i.e. hiking in the woods.

Welcome to the forum. Happy reading.
