hey guys,

Had occasion to use my brass Caribbean last night and something is not right.

The LED is flickering very rapidly. I cleaned the contacts, but it didn't help.

The battery is a fresh Energiser, so I don't know what the cause is. Haven't dropped it recently or anything.

I've written Peak but thought I'd try here as well. Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Mark

My P4 Caribbean flashed when the battery grew weak. Replaced the battery and it behaved as good as new.

Hey,

Yeah, Robyn got back to me and suggested I try a fresh cell and hey presto, problem solved.

What a relief, I wasn't keen to ship the light all the way back to Peak.

Thanks!

As an aside, if you use the light long enough for it to stop flashing, you'll have a long tail of low light. What is happening is that the circuit is trying desperately to maintain the light output and the cell can *almost* manage. Once the cell obviously can't, the circuit will quit trying.
