Hi all,
Would a cd burner work for a laser? Its infrared right?

You could, yes it is IR and if you're lucky, you may have around 70mW.
How's your eye?

My eyes doing great, thanks. Its healed almost completely. I have to blink really fast to see the spot but it is infact still there.
