cheap lens/Empty star?

Well I'm gonna mount 50 luxeon k2 on some aluminium bar.

I can get the emiter at 3$ each but need to mount them.

Any place?

You could mount them as emitters...

Are you asking where you can buy 50 star bases for your own emitters?

You could mount them as emitters...

that would actually be easier you know...alot less epoxy to mess with, unless you prefer to have the solder pads...which is actually quite useful when your handshakes during soldering or if the solder tip is too big for emitter contacts [I've been there]

I dont think you can buy them separate, but...you could buy lousy bin stars for some $$$ and pop off the emitters

Someone on ebay was selling bare stars, but for the life of me, i cant find them.

Just use arctic alumina and use some type of protection for the solder leads.
