Hello everyone.

I was just wondering what the cheapest laser would be that was in the 70-100MW area. Any ideas?

O ya, the laser has gotta be portable /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

true..
the pgl-3 is not cheap /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
But the only portable laser that is above 70mW /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Enigmahack and I are working on making a portable unit in the 100mW range. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Should be interesting, I am seriously trying to incorporate the peltier cooler from the donor desktop unit.

Basically a PGL3 with horrid battery efficiency due to the peltier element, however it will be quite stable.

Hi again. I googled the PGL-3 and didn't find anything. Do you have any information on it? Price?

To open the field a bit, any cheap portable lasers that are closer to 50mW?

Theres the pgl3 link from the manufacturer.

Define Cheap and Portable seperately...

My idea of portable is an alc60x and power supply that I can put in my car and drag over to a friends house and hook up to his wall outlet.

If you mean handheld, the the PGL3 is the best thing going @ $700 ea.
