trying to figure out where exactly where i'm going wrong. my end goal is to make a table with LED lights that flash to music. I have set up a circuit with LEDs, capacitor and resistor as shown in the image. This setup works fine. I then added the TIP and audio connector. This also allows the lights to work correctly. It even works when I plug the audio connector into my phone. The lights all work and flash as they should. The problem is when I try to then plug a receiver and speakers into the audio splitter as shown in the picture. When I do this it trips the GFI that everything is plugged into. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts I would really like to hear them. Thank you.
