I initially did a search for Circuit Specialists before I posted. I didn't realize that some of these chargers go by many names.

For what it's worth I don't post a lot but I do search and find a lot of info, but every now and then it's possible to not search for the right terms.

I have delt with this company before and they are great. I get a lot of the peltier devices because I was doing a project to convert waste heat into lighting and cell phone charging for africa and haiti. Long story short if any of their products failed, which was my fault they still took them back no questions. Also they have good prices and since they are down the road its a great shop for anything from components to heat shrink. If you do not want to support big business then definitely go there. Also if you buy in bulk they give you a good break.

I've bought lots of electronics stuff from CS in the past and have been very happy.

I've been using the one sold under the name Vanson Speedy box for years. Works fine for the price IMO. Not so great for high capacity C and D cells though as the charge rate isn't fast enough, and it will often time out on really big cells before finishing the charge. trick is to reset the charge after the first time it turns green on the big 10AH D cells.
