I have one and love it. Very nice tint, nice beam profile. Worth the $28, I'd say. Not as bright as the current cree lights, but quite useful.

Another nice 1 x AA light at about the same price is the Lumapower LM31, which is just about $28 w/CPF discount from batteryjunction. It has a high and very low setting, instead of the single level of the Civictor.

I think you'll be happy with either one.

Hi BobbyBob: I have 2 and I think you could not do better for the money. CPFer Quickbeam used to do alot of flashlight reviews. here is a link to his review of the civictor. http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/civictor_v1.htm besides the good tint etc mentioned by the previous poster, it is built like a tank. the minimag AA pocket clip fits it like they were designed to go together. jerry

It is the only 1AA light that will fit comfortably sitting sideways in my jeans pockets. I have to carry all my other 1AA lights in belt holsters.

Brightness is sufficient for most uses. Tint can vary but are usually warmer than the Fenix L1P.
