Re: FS: 4C P7 Regulated M@G

Nice build. How is the heat buildup on high for extended runs? Can the heatsink effectively dissipate that 3.3A to the emitter at that drive current? Thanks.

It gets pretty warm, but never too hot to hold. I haven't run it for more than maybe 10 minutes on high, but I can run it longer right now if you want me to. My DMM has a temp sensor, so I could even use that to see how hot it gets.

Re: FS: 4C P7 Regulated M@G

Thanks for the response. Actually, on second thought, 4C is on the long side for what I want. Good luck with your sale!

Re: FS: 4C P7 Regulated M@G

Nice Build Indeed!!

I'm supprised It can't take primaries though, as NiMh's hot of the charger are around 1.43V.....Not realy a long way of Primaries.

I know you mentioaned that they wouldnt be able to support the current draw, but i thought in a pinch it might be able to be run on low?

Re: FS: 4C P7 Regulated M@G

Hi ambientmind,

That's rather kewl!

If you are in a low mode, how do you get to medium or high? By soft-pressing, or do you have to turn the light off and start at the beginning.

Thanks.

Re: FS: 4C P7 Regulated M@G

If you have the switch "clicked" on, then yes you would have to turn it off, then soft press the switch to get to the mode you want, then click it on again. But usually you know what mode you want, so you'll get it there before you click it on. Which makes it nice because it just the opposite of a reverse clicky where you have to turn the light on first, then switch modes. I guess its six of one, half a dozen of the other.

It might be able to take primaries, I know the upper limit of the 7135 chip is 6V. I'm not an expert on this though, maybe someone else can chime in? So it should work, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: FS/FT: 4C P7 Regulated M@G *Another price drop and beam shots*

Updated for trade offers...
Also, what is keeping anyone from buying this light? What would you like to see in it? If someone really doesn't like multi-mode boards, I'd be willing to switch out the driver for a single mode board for the same price. I can make it whatever current you want in 350mA increments. It would take me a couple days and I'd have to have payment first, but let me know. Thanks!

Re: FS/FT: 4C P7 Regulated M@G *Last price drop*

does the light come with 4 nimh's?
if so, are they low self discharge nimh's?

.

Re: FS/FT: 4C P7 Regulated M@G *Last price drop*

no, its just the light by itself.

Re: FS/FT: 4C P7 Regulated M@G *Last price drop, Trade for M3?*

revised trade offer.
