OK. Let's do this thing. Finally everything is ready for prime-time.
Please see the summary thread for details on all of these products.
First of all, I want to thank everyone here at CPF for all of their help and support, and especially the moderators and Sasha and anyone else who helps keep CPF up and running and civil. It wouldn't have happened without all of you.
On to the stuff. In the summary thread I listed options, such as "Option #3" which I called the Tiger85. However, when ordering, please order all of the individual products you will need. If you have any questions about the products, see the summary thread, or PM me, or post a question there. I'd like to keep this thread for order posts only, but I won't get bent out of shape if that doesn't happen. It will just make things easier for me. Of course, questions regarding ordering, guarantees, shipping, etc. belong here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
PRODUCTS.
Products and prices follow. The code is listed first in bold font, then the description, then the price:
1940-OP Carley RF1940 orange peel reflector: $12
This is the reflector only, with an orange peel surface.
1940-SM Carley RF1940 smooth reflector: $12
This is the reflector only, with a smooth surface.
WA1274 Welch Allyn 1274 lamp: $8
This lamp works with either the stock battery pack or the 6 cell KAN 1800 pack. Note that this is just the ring-potted lamp only and requires a reflector to work in the TigerLight. These can be inserted and removed from the reflectors as you desire or as they burn out or break, so you DO NOT need to order a reflector for each lamp, although you may wish to do so for convenience. For example, you might order two 1940-OP's, one WA1111, and one WA1274, and keep the lamps installed in their own reflectors, so that you can change them out quickly depending on your needs. Changing out lamps for a single reflector is not a fast procedure and requires some delicate focusing and adjusting. But spare lamps do NOT need to be ordered with a reflector. Just wanted to make that clear.
WA1111 Welch Allyn 1111 lamp: $11
This lamp will work ONLY with the 6 cell KAN 1800 pack. The stock battery pack will not be able to drive this lamp.
WA1185 Welch Allyn 1185 lamp: $8
This lamp will work ONLY with the 9 cell KAN 1050 pack.
6BP 6 cell KAN 1800 battery pack: $44
This battery pack will drive the stock LA, the 1274, and the 1111, but will NOT drive the 1185.
9BP 9 cell KAN 1050 battery pack: $44
This 10.8 volt battery pack will blow the stock LA, 1111, or 1274, and is intended to drive ONLY the 1185. In addition charging this pack requires a harness modification and higher voltage wallwart. It WILL NOT charge on the stock charging system.
H-MOD Charging system modification: $20.
This modification allows the charging harness to charge the stock battery pack, the 6 cell KAN 1800 pack, or the 9 cell KAN 1050 pack and includes the higher voltage wallwart required to charge the 9 cell pack. People in the USA who sign up for this mod, which is part of the Tiger85, will need to send me their charging harness so that I can modify it. For those in the UK, CPFer Frame57 will be doing the mods and providing the wallwarts. Please contact and pay him separately--do not buy this item from me if you live in the UK. As for other countries, we will need to deal with that on a case-by-case basis, as it will depend on the house voltage provided.
SHIPPING.
For non-international buyers, prices for USPS priority mail follow and include delivery confirmation and insurance (except lamps only, which will be shipped via first-class mail without any special services):
Lamps only: $1 for the first and $.25 for each additional.
Reflectors (with or without any number of lamps): $4 for first, $1 for each additional.
Battery Packs (with or without any number of reflectors and lamps): $8 for first, $3 for each additional.
Note that a harness mod counts as a battery pack due to the heavy wallwart I will need to send you. Thus shipping for a 9BP, H-MOD, 1940-OP, & 2 WA1185, would be $11. i.e. it would count as two battery packs, with the other stuff riding along at no extra charge.
For international or non-CONUS buyers, please choose the method you would like, with the services you want and find out what it will cost by figuring 1 lb. per battery pack, with a 1 lb. minimum. My zip code is 14850.
GUARANTEES.
Lamps: I will guarantee that the lamp and potting will not slip out of the ring. I will not guarantee hours of life, even if the lamp blows the first time you turn it on. I advise people to order an extra lamp just in case.
Reflectors: I guarantee that they will fit the TigerLight and be free from any major defect.
Battery Packs: I will guarantee the solder joints and mechanical and electrical connections for a period of one year. Note: any serious drop voids the warranty (i.e. out a second floor window onto pavement). I will not guarantee these packs for number of cycles, nor replace a pack that has been accidentally completely discharged.
PAYMENT.
You can pay me via PayPal:
[email protected]
This address is also my e-mail address. You can also pay me with a money order. Please e-mail me for my address. Also e-mail me for my address if you will be sending me a harness for modification.
CPFers please post your order here. non-CPFers who are so anti-social as to not want to register /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif can simply e-mail me with their orders.
I will make the orders up as fast as I reasonably can, in the order that seems most fair to me. I will try to give priority to those who posted their interest in the upgrade and summary threads, but please don't hold me to it, or get ruffled about these sorts of things. Making this stuff up and sending it out is going to be a lot of work, and if I mess up, please cut me some slack. I pledge to do my best to be fair and fast.
OK. I think that covers it. Thanks very much.
