The business end

(snide) COMMENTS
  • Very tough hard anodizing
  • Very basic design - body is machined from a single piece of metal
  • Strong blue tint in beam
  • O-ring seals throughout
  • Long runtime
  • Respectable lanyard attachment point
  • A bit too large for the average keychain
  • Suggested use: personal task light or emergency light powered by a lithium AA
Runtime plot, courtesy of Roy
Alkaline cell: 11:15

I also found it too big for keychain use. However, I EDC it loose in my pocket. Can't tell when it's there.

Would there be a way to polish the business end to increase light reflected forward ("à la Arc")?

i got a standard infinity ultra (not and ultraG HA3)
and it just lives on my keyring - it is really handy for finding key holes etc in the dark
i have had it for about a year and it has lost a little ano around the knurling - oh and it got a new battery last week (the first batt change i have done in it)

I have two of them, one is a Ultra G model that i carry on my key chain-carabiner, the other in my pack.

It's way bright enough to navigate in a good sized house, back yard, woods, and the run time is simply amazing. I put some alkalines that were deemed dead from my CD players that expred in 2000, and when i poped them into the light, it lit my room up comfortably for at least 8 hours. Now that's lighting to the extreme usefulness.

I LOVE the Infinity Ultra. I think when you consider all aspects of this light, it has to be one of the best values around. Pretty bright for a 1-cell LED, long runtime, tough as a tank (especially the Ultra-G from CountyComm), and cheap, to boot! It has become one of my favorite lights, and I'm sure it will be for a long time. I don't have one of the new versions yet, but I am curious how it stacks up against the tried and true CMG version.
