CMG Reactor 3AA - how bright relative to LGI?

I have an LGI from MrBulk and love it. However, for cost and availability reasons I'm thinking of ordering a couple CMG Reactor 3AA (rather than additional LGI's) to leave in the garage, basement, etc., for convenience. My goal is to get the same kind of light as the LGI. My expectation is that the LGI is brighter, but by how much? Is the CMG Reactor 3AA close enough in brightness to consider approximately equivalent, like a poor man's version of the LGI? Or is it nowhere near the same brightness?

When I had a Reactor III it is no where near the brightness of my LGI. It wasn't even as bright as my KL1. But I it all depends on the LS you get.

Just switch out the Reactor III's tailcap with that of the Reactor I (lose the resistance), and you have yourself a direct drive Reactor III that should be quite bright...
