CMG Reactor vs Inova X5 vs Lightwave 3000

It would be a tossup between the LW3000 and the Reactor. I would bet on the Reactor. You will get better runtime on the LW3000.

I have an LW4000: rugged, bright, and the batteries last a long time. I just ordered 2 Reactors today, as their runtime on Lithium AAs is very good.

My Arc LS is brighter than the LW4000. Not sure how the Reactors are going to compare.

Reactor is brighter then X5. But not for long if using alkaline's in the Reactor. I would prefer X5 to Reactor if having to choose between the two but for roughly same price as X5, prefer my Badboy yellow minimag mod to both. Bright dead constant light output although only for roughly two hours but this is on 50 cents worth of batteries. Could use rechargeables for same level of output also. Cannot comment on the LW3000 except to say of course, it will have the longest runtime. If I was set on the Reactor, based on comments and reviews, I would now buy a inretech minimag mod instead.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">There are so many flavors of Arc LS out now that it's hard to use them as a basis of comparison. My Reactor on new batteries is brighter then my original 0.9 version Arc LS but dimmer then my latest second LS. I think now though, all the Arc LS's will be brighter then the Reactor. I am not a big fan of the Reactor although the new switch can only be an improvement. It's still a crap shoop with the color of the Luxeon though. I've had three Reactor's pass thru my hands with very distinct differences of the Luxeon beam quality.
