I have received multiple emails asking about a light that was seen at a government procurement show. The question most asked is: "Was that the Sonic G?" and "Was that you in the suit?"
The answer: Currently there is no official designation of Sonic-G (although I think there should be, I like the name) You probably saw one of a few proto types (most were form factor models that didn't work) that were being shown for consideration. The concept received a great response even though AAA batteries are not considered the norm world wide. Because of the response, there will be a small number of Sonics made with Mil-Spec type III hard anodizing with the intentions of fostering further government interest. Lights will be in a two weeks with samples shipping imediately. As most of you know the Ultra-G (NSN: 6230-01503-9513) has taken the military special forces by storm. There is hope that the "Sonic-G" or whatever it's designation turns out to be will be equally well accepted.
The Suit? I really have nothing to say about that incident.
