I haven't done it myself, but I have heard that there is this stuff that you can paint on and it will survive the acid, and then you use a solvent to remove it.
You can also get a paintable masking that peels off once the processing is done. That's what I use to mask the threads on the parts I do - it's like a rubber cement type of stuff. It is nasty-solvent-based, and so I have to do this work outside, as I don't have a chemical fume hood in my basement... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Hmm... I did find the rubber type stuff on-line. The smallest available qty was way more than I need. Maybe I'll try to find it locally.
Has anyone tried something like nail polish? Or maybe "liquid electrical tape"? Both of which seem to be a nasty solvent based stuff. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
