I've picked up some scratches and dings on the base of my lanterns and little 533 stove and have been thinking of a way to somehow pad or protect the bottoms of these things. Well today I found it --door edge protector strips. I was walking through my local walmart automotive section and they jumped right out at me. There were black and chrome on the shelf, I went with black. The stuff is basically a U channel with some adhesive inside. I put it on my lanterns and stove and it's perfect, they now have a nice durable hard rubber shoe all around the bottom seam of the tanks, where they take wear.
