Well, some one's resurrected the Coleman white gas conversion thread and after I read through it, I'm wondering how many on here collect Coleman or other brands of lanterns.

I currently have two in my collection, a model 2500 "NorthStar" dated May 2002 which has been on many camping trips and has also lit backyard parties/BBQs. I especially like the electronic ignition and even have a "tactical" method of lighting it off.

Then there's the model 5114-C dated October 1983 which I've recently acquired from a friend of mine. It was in pretty bad shape when I first got it considering that it had been abused by boy scouts and came to me with a bent burner air/fuel tube, the wrong globe, and a dent in the aluminum collar around the valve. The plastic base that the propane tank sits in also has some dried food all over it. It didn't take me long to find the right globe for it and a set of new mantles and after cleaning the cob webs out of the burner tube and bending it back into shape, I had another working lantern.
