Got my latest aquisition today. the Pal Light (thank you Mr. this_is_Nascar). It is as all the reviews I have read. It is the suvivor model. Came with a nifty removable clip and a funky red "traffic" cone attachment (hmm, alien probe device

). Read about removing the lens on Craig's site. Is it worth the effort? I remember overhearing a conversation somewhere two guys were having about flashlights (couple of years ago before I came to terms with my addiction

) and the guy had one of these. He apparently worked doing service calls and he said he liked it because it lasted a long time and that he could hold it in his mouth safely/comfortably, due ti it's rubber construction (I will hold my tongue

). He felt it was worth the extra $'s that he spent on it.Funny how I always remembered that particular conversation that I was easedropping on after all these years.

Turning the lens around doesn't take any effort, merely put your finger in and get your fingernail on the edge of the lens and pop out. Turn it around and push it back in. It's held in place by a lip. Better beam on mine at least!

The 1st time you take it out you may have to use a small screw driver. You want hurt the lens, as you're only touching the side. After that, when you reseat it, don't push it in so deep & it'll be easy to get out with your finger nail. TX

Did it. It's ok and the option is nice to have, but I'll leave the flood work for my Attitude or LW 2K. I really like the beam, also feels good in my hand, and the belt clip is 2 kewl! Feels at home and doesn'tlook out of place next to my cell. The only thing is getting used to the constant on feature. Not used to it, and sometimes I don't want to be seen, it's very noticeable when walking in the dark. Definately a light I would travel with. This and my E1 or Scorpion would be my efficient combo for many tasks.

Once you get used to having it around at night, if it's not there, you'll miss the always on. Especialy if you get a white cone. TX
