* If you're trying to use these adapter in a high current application (incadescent) I recommend using dummy cells with large adapter instead of connecting several small adapter in series to minimize connection loss.

Rommul: yes you should get two spot if you want TWO separate adapters. Keep in mind that these for the 4/8x18650 adapter, you get the complete kit to do both 4x and 8x.

Just a question....it sounds like you have two sets of 30. First $50 set of 30 for only 4 cells, and $70 second set of 30 for 8 cells, but only one list of numbers.

Are you saying The only adapter available now is the double stack that can configured as a 4x or an 8x. I want a double and one single I don't want to have to buy two double just to get the other single.

Maybe i am reading it incorrectly.

Also concerning the Sony Konion cells can they be charged using normal Li Ion chargers like the DSD. I any interested in about 4 of these cells.

At any rate I know what I want and am ready to send paypal. Clear up some details for me so I can complete this.

I think that should be 4S2P ie 2 parallel stacks which each stack having 4 cells in series.

Looks great! Yes, I'm interested to know the answer to this too. I purchased a Mammoth 8x18650, plus a 4x18650 extension. I would like an adapter that could work from 4x to 8x to 12x, but it appears that using a 8x4x18650 plus a 4x4x18650 may be too long. If I purchased two 8x4x18650 units, could I reconfigure these to a 12x4x18650 and a 4x4x18650?

Action: I'm a little confused about your notation. But a 8x18650 would work with a mammoth and extension.

For 14.8V, 4S2P, 8 cells, you just use a 8x18650 in series/parallel mode.
For 22.2V, 6S2P, 12 cells, you just use a 8x18650 and one 4x18650 in tandem.

These adapter are either Series (eg 4S1P) or Series/Parallel (2S2P). I hope I explained it right.

Rommul asked this question, which is still pending. It does not make sense if you want to use 12s 18650 to buy two 8s $70 holders just to get the center plastic cell stabilizer....and you would still need a longer threaded rod.

In the Setapong standard Mammouth light, he is selling 3 body options:

1) Shorty - 4s

2) Standard which includes extra segment for 8s

3) Extender tube as separate purchase which would give user 12s.

Ideally, with your setup, people would want the $70 8s option, but then also need a second middle plastic section like in $70 model, and a longer center rod that would fit length of 3 cells. In that scenario, it would not work to get a $70 & $50 set. They would still only be left with the one middle spacer, and a rod that is too short, and a wasted set of end plates.

I think Modamag was saying load up and 8S holder with batteries and load up a 4S holder with batteries and just load both holders into a 12X flashlight tube. You will probably have a little bit of current loss using the two separate holders, but the result will be 12 in series.

That is if I understood him correctly.

You may be right, but when you are dealing with 12s x 3.7V = 44 to 50 Volts, having an insecure connection like another set of battery end plates is not practical, and becomes an arc'ing risk...not to mention the resistance introduced.

From my reading of it you just buy a longer center rod and cut it to length for a 12X. But Lux is right you will need a another center plastic piece even if you use the 8X holder. I think a part of Jonathan's post was cutoff and he was about to explain that.
