Contact PCB\'s? What to do?

I have a question about the contact PCB's that are used in the Longbow McCapsule and probably in other McCapsules as well.
The solder blob that is used for the battery contact concerns me some as solder is relatively soft. I was wondering if it would be possible to replace that blob with a small screw of some sort that would screw in in the center contact pad.
Is there any reason that wouldn't work, say for instance if the contact PCB is a double layer board with contacts running between the layers???
Inquiring minds wants to know!

I see no reason why that wouldn't work and that is actually a good idea. But, be aware that the anode contact is and should remain recessed below the lip of the McCapsule. That is the mechanical reverse battery protection and raising it above the McCapsule bottom lip would allow reverse battery condition and will usually fry the converter board.

You could take a brass or copper screw and file the head down till it is almost gone. You don't need much height there.

When you say allow reverse battery condition, does that mean I would have to put the battery in the wrong way for it to go wrong?
If that's the case, then I'm not much worried about it.
However, I was thinking about doing exactly what you said and get a small screw and then simply file it smooth for a much better battery contact. The wear on the soft solder has me somewhat concerned.
I'll give it a whack once I order the parts, which should be sometime this week! Woop!
Thanks for the answer!
